LifespanMD is proud to announce that Dr. Pamela Lai, MD will be joining our team beginning February 2026. Her background in clinical medicine, nutrition science, prevention and proactive care aligns directly with our mission to help patients live better, longer.

Rooted in Longevity Medicine

Dr. Pam Lai is a family physician passionate about supporting patients to improve their healthspan through proactive, precision, and personalized care. Before medicine, she trained as a Registered Dietitian and completed her Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University. This foundation in nutrition and metabolic physiology continues to shape her work today.

She completed her medical degree at the University of Ottawa, followed by residency at Dalhousie University. Her clinical experience includes emergency medicine and hospitalist work throughout the Maritimes, the Northwest Territories, and rural Ontario. Throughout these diverse practice settings she observed how early prevention, foundational lifestyle strategy, and metabolic optimization can profoundly influence aging trajectories.

Advocate for Evidence Based Prevention and Metabolic Health

Dr. Lai is deeply committed to the principles of longevity medicine. She focuses on identifying upstream drivers of chronic disease, and guiding patients toward daily behaviours that improve muscle strength, cardiovascular function, cognitive reserve, inflammation control, and metabolic efficiency over time. Her approach integrates nutrition science, exercise physiology, sleep health, and stress physiology with evidence based preventative interventions.She is also an esteemed speaker, lecturer at the University of Ottawa, and consultant in health technology. In recognition of her leadership, Dr. Lai was named one of Ottawa’s Forty Under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade.

Dr. Pamela Lai believes it is never too late to optimize health. She builds trust, finds shared common ground, and collaborates with each patient to create strategies that support long term vitality and lifespan extension, guided by research and clinical outcomes. Life Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, Dr. Lai enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, traveling, and relaxing in local coffee shops. She lives the same slow, intentional lifestyle principles that support longevity and sustainable wellness over decades.
