Dr. Hertzog completed her medical training at the University of Toronto and the University of Ottawa. She is also certified by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM), which recognizes physicians trained in lifestyle interventions to treat and prevent chronic conditions such as cardiovascular diseasecancer, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.

Lifestyle medicine focuses on evidence-based changes in nutritionphysical activitysleepstress management, and social connections to improve health. Dr. Hertzog applies these six pillars to help patients prevent and even reverse chronic health issues. With additional training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)motivational interviewing, and nutrition, she goes beyond treating symptoms, addressing the underlying factors that drive chronic disease and premature aging.
